Anmeldung: the registration form, filled in
When you move into a flat, you register within 14 days. Here is a filled sample for your situation, and what every field means.
Print the official form: Heilbronn (PDF). Ulm and Neu-Ulm use their own layouts but ask for the same information; in many offices the staff type it in with you. Bring your passport and the landlord confirmation.
This is general information, not legal, visa or tax advice. Rules can change and your case may differ. Always check with the responsible office.

After you register
You get a registration certificate (Meldebestätigung). Keep it safe: banks, your employer and the foreigners’ office may ask for it. Your tax ID arrives later by post.
